Thursday Night Football 12/13/2018 Fantasy Preview
LA Chargers at KC Chiefs
We’ve suffered through the highs and lows of plenty sub par Thursday night games. Sure, there have been notable exceptions, but most of the time you’ve been better off watching while catching up on laundry or on the treadmill at the gym vs. sitting glued to your TV with a couple cold ones at the ready.
This TNF game on the other hand is going to be huge! It’s the one fantasy players have been waiting for! There are so many star players going toni…WAIT, WHAT?!
It seems plenty of the dudes you were super excited to put in your line ups tonight are either out, injured, or off their teams!!!
Yes, key injuries and player conduct have removed or limited some of the big names in this matchup. Imagine going into this bad boy with a healthy Melvin Gordon, Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, and a Kareem Hunt that didn’t lie about kicking girls in hotel halls. WOW! That would be something, but still this should be a good matchup between two teams with a shot at the Super Bowl. This is a big game with plenty on the line. Enjoy!
Philip Rivers, QB: Has thrown for multiple TD’s in every game but the one last week and the Chiefs give up big yardage to opposing QB’s.
Keenan Allen, WR: He just scored in his 5th straight games last week. Fire him up against this bad pass D.
Justin Jackson, RB: Gordon and Ekeler are both questionable so he’s leading the RB square against the 2nd to worst rushing D.
Patrick Mahomes, QB: If I have to tell you why, you shouldn’t be playing still but he’s thrown multiple TD’s in 8 straight games now. Duh.
Tyreek Hill, WR: Reports are that he’ll be able to play through his heel injury. He’s just too dangerous to sit against this defense.
Damien Williams, RB: Spencer Ware is doubtful, so Williams will get about 16-18 carries playing on a great offense. Be bold.
Travis Kelce, TE: He’s the best TE in the game with a great QB in a big matchup, so even against the Chargers D, who is tough against the TE, you’re rolling him out there.
Mike Williams, WR: The receiving yards aren’t there but the dude’s scored 7 times on the year.
Charcandrick West, RB: If Ware is out you can flex West, if you’re desperate, even with Williams starting.
Antonio Gates, TE: The targets just aren’t there. Chiefs D is bad against the TE, but this is the playoffs and you should look elsewhere.
Kelvin Benjamin, WR: Not enough time in this offense and not enough of a skill threat to take Benjamin out of WR5/6 play at this point.
Melvin Gordon , RB: Gordon has said he’s feeling better and he could be a game time decision. If he plays you’re playing him against a bad run D.
Spencer Ware, RB: Doubtful to play but if he goes you can start him and watch him be active in the pass game against a D that has allowed the 3rd most receiving yards to RB’s.
